Parrot Clips are designed

There is no need for nails, screws, lag bolts, staples, etc, that will cause
noticeable damage to your property.
For best results slide the steady-clip on the center of Parrot Clip. Face steady-clip in the direction you are stringing lights. Steady-clips are usually needed only at the ends and middle of light strings.
Simply slide parrot clip over parapet wall or block wall and hang
your lights, garland, wreaths, etc. With three hooks to choose from,
you can do what I do, hang big lights on top hook and ice sickle lights
